Healthy Eating with Liam, the Smart Rabbit.

Austin-based author, Azaliya Schulz meets this issue head on in her new book, Healthy Eating with Liam, the Smart Rabbit. She aims to help parents provide their children with an understanding of the value of eating fresh fruits and vegetables and the long-term health risks associated with processed foods. Just because your tummy is full, doesn’t mean that you are well nourished.

Schulz is an author of children’s books, who works in the healthcare industry and understands how good nutrition can help. She recognizes that healthy eating plays an instrumental role in preventing many conditions, as well as making life more fulfilling and vital. She aspires to help parents to empower their children to become independent and critical thinkers, make better choices and create a supportive and loving community.

Author Schulz, explains why her book is a game changer for parents “it encompasses two major themes: why fruits and vegetables are healthy, as well as why processed foods with added preservatives (in this case candy) have long-term negative effects on health, in a fun and easy to understand language. It empowers the child to make educated and healthier choices”.

Dr Vamsi Krishna, a Fellow American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions, Director of Cardiac Cath Lab and Cardiac Rehab at Ascension Seton Hays Medical Center, Texas and an Assistant Professor at UT Dell Medical School had this to say “Healthy eating habits are the key to avoid chronic diseases like diabetes and high blood pressure. With the epidemic of obesity related diseases in our youth, “Healthy Eating with Liam, the Smart Rabbit” by Azaliya Schulz succeeds in educating parents and kids on the power of developing a strong well-balanced diet.”
