Where is Daddy? Who is Daddy?

I grew up without a father and this is the story I wish I was told…

Single mothers, educators, therapists and children found the book to be ‘helpful’, ‘healing’ and ‘therapeutic’ for the following reasons:

  • It focuses on parents’ instinctive and unconditional love for their children and their innate hope to pass along their finest qualities.
  • It portrays a positive image of both parents to the child reader, and explains that each parent can choose their own path.
  • It cultivates a sense of self-worth, self-acceptance, and self-reliance within the child by helping him/her to cultivate an internal relationship with their dad.

This book reflects twenty years of searching for the best answer to minimize the feelings of disappointment, abandonment, and guilt that children experience when the father leaves.

The only book written by both a woman without a father and a psychologist who is respected throughout the world.

This book is a great tool to encourage conversation about the loss of Daddy under any circumstances, including death, divorce or abandonment. The message is positive and encourages the child to gain strength and self-esteem by identifying and connecting shared traits inherited by both parents. The last page of the book is a sweet message that will be meaningful to both children and adults.

Lisa Rene Gerard, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.

Azaliya was raised by a single mother and wanted to have a book as an emotional outlet to ask the questions she had in her heart as a child with an absent father. An amazing, thought provoking and something that we need as parents. Our children ask the most innocent questions and we need to have an emotional awareness and safe space to be able to answer the question with grace, understanding and protect their feelings.

where is mommy?

The best book available for everyone who is looking for an emotionally comforting story to cope with loss, absence or separation from their mother.

The story focuses on the instinctual and unconditional love parents feel for their child and their innate hopes to pass down their best qualities. It paints a positive image for the child reader of both parents and explains that each parent can have their own pathway to follow, which may result in limited or no physical contact between mother and child.

The story considers the questions ‘Where is Mommy’ and ‘Who is Mommy?’ and offers a unique perspective to these questions by encouraging the child to explore and cultivate an internal relationship with their mother. Children who have a good internal relationship with both parents are more likely to develop an enhanced sense of self-acceptance, self-reliance, and self-worth, which are important attributes in the development of a happy and successful life.

Written by someone who was raised without the dad (this is based on the book ‘Where is Daddy? Who is Daddy?’) and the renown psychologist. This book encompasses 20 years of research for the best and therapeutically beneficial answer to the question ‘Where is Mommy?”

This workbook is awesome! I have a 3yr old and a 4yr old. They are homeschooled. This is a wonderful addition to our daily curriculum. My kiddos love all the tracing activities. Simple lines and curves that gradually assist them in writing their letters and prepares them to form shapes
